Managing High Performance & Retention

You have chosen to be in a leadership role. It may be a full-time role, such as supervisor or manager, or it may be a role that requires that you also spend most of your time as an individual contributor. Regardless, the part of your job that entails leadership requires that you influence productivity through the efforts of others — you now are in the influencing business.
So, “what should you influence?” and “how do you influence it?” are the relevant questions.
We know that in order to meet business productivity goals, effective leaders/ influencers achieve two outcomes:
- They ensure that all of the people who report to them are consistently performing at or above standard.
- They ensure that their team has a strong, vibrant workplace in which they can use their talents to meet organizational goals.
If these two goals are met, there is a high probability that performance, productivity and morale are high and that the workplace will attract and retain the most productive employees.
If these two goals are not met, the probability is high that performance will be lower and that the workplace will not attract or retain the most productive employees.
This workshop will provide skills (options) to enable you to meet these outcomes. Achieving the outcomes is your goal. The workshop is only a means to this end.
